Is it Fall already?

Holy cow! Where did this year go? I guess it slipped away while we were all waiting for the rain to stop! Despite actually getting rained out a couple times, we had a pretty good “summer”. We traveled to Big Sky and Billings, Montana for two separate shows in June and July, played shows in Fruita, Palisade, Cheyenne and Garden City , Kansas as well as made the rounds here in the Denver area. We still have some great shows coming up this year too so be sure to keep an eye on our calendar!

Boogie Machine’s Summer of Outdoor Concerts!

Wow! What a season! This has been Boogie Machine’s biggest year for outdoor concerts. We thought we should do a recap to show what it was like. The season got started early in Snowmass, CO on April 20 at  the 80’S BEACH PARTY with Ronnie Raygun and the Big 80s to celebrate the end of the ski season in Snowmass Base Village. It was a beautiful day for some 80s favorites. On June 1st, the season got kicked into high gear when Boogie Machine performed at the Denver Chalk Art Festival on Larimer Square, which is a two day  festival. More than 200 artists Read More …

Boogie Machine and Ride the Rockies 2014!

Some of you may not know this, but Boogie Machine has a passion for cycling. Colorado is one of, if not THE BEST state to live in for cycling. This year we had the privilege of performing for the Ride the Rockies finale in Golden, CO and it was awesome! 2000 riders rode over 470 miles, climbing over 33,000 feet to end up flying down Lookout Mountain into the City of Golden. We hope to have team Boogie Machine in the ride in the near future.   Click on Mosaic for slide show.   What is Boogie Machine? Based in Read More …

Twenty Ninth Street LIVE! with Boogie Machine!

This was our first time playing the Twenty Ninth Street LIVE! event in Boulder. Despite the cooler weather, and the threat of rain, we had an awesome turnout! The crowd showed their enthusiasm by dressing up in afro’s, funky hats and glasses, and dancing with illuminated hula-hoops courtesy of Silent Disco of Boulder! Be sure to check out our calendar for upcoming shows near you and “Like” us on Facebook to see additional photos! We also have video footage!    Photos by: Laura Kelley at Elle Kelle Productions Get Lost in Life’s Adventures! What is Boogie Machine? Based in Denver, CO, Boogie Read More …

Boogie Machine and Friday’s On The Plaza

2014 marks the eighth year in a row that Boogie Machine has performed in Cheyenne, WY for their Friday’s On The Plaza outdoor concert series. People come from miles around, even from as far as Nebraska, to see Boogie Machine at this annual event. It’s definitely a family affair with everyone from grandparents to grandchildren and everyone in between attending. They just love dressing up in their favorite 70s attire, singing along and getting their groove on. Thank you Cheyenne for being there, and in this year’s case, rain or shine! We have more shows in Cheyenne this summer so Read More …

2014 Denver Chalk Art Festival with Boogie Machine

Nothing says summer like outdoor concerts, and Colorado has a ton of of them. We’re kicking off our summer with seven in a row so be sure to check out our calendar for dates, times and locations. Our first for 2014 was the Denver Chalk Art Festival in Larimer Square on June 1st. Yes, it was a hot summer day but that didn’t stop the crowds  from coming out to see the fantastic chalk art, enjoying an ice cold beverage and dancing to the groovy sounds of Denver’s “super-funky” party band, Boogie Machine! Check out our Facebook page for more pics! What Read More …

Our new Boogie Machine promo video!

We recently shot a new promo video. Many thanks to Al and Bistro Al Vino for allowing us to shoot there. As usual it was OUR crowd there. We get a great mix of age ranges and people always have a fun time. Ramblin’ Jackson came out and did a 3 camera setup, complete with a GoPro for the bass headstock and great shots of our drummer. The footage looks really good and I’m excited about the end product. Michelle and I did a “green screen” shooting at their studio in Boulder, and although I think I look like a Read More …

Boogie Machine plays for CU Denver’s 40th Anniversary Celebration!

On August 22nd, we played an awesome event on the corner of 15th and Lawrence in Downtown Denver for CU Denver’s 40th Anniversary. After a performance by an amazing a cappella group,  we kicked off the show with some EW&F and laid down the funk for an awesome afternoon. The layout of this party was wonderful. Block partygoers could choose from a dozen food trucks and then work off the calories at the mobile ropes course, rock climbing wall, or of course, the dance floor. I especially loved the grilled Peanut Butter & Jelly from Hey PB&J. It was open to the Read More …
