Wow! What a season! This has been Boogie Machine’s biggest year for outdoor concerts. We thought we should do a recap to show what it was like. The season got started early in Snowmass, CO on April 20 at the 80’S BEACH PARTY with Ronnie Raygun and the Big 80s to celebrate the end of the ski season in Snowmass Base Village. Boogie Machine and Ride the Rockies 2014!

Some of you may not know this, but Boogie Machine has a passion for cycling. Colorado is one of, if not THE BEST state to live in for cycling. This year we had the privilege of performing for the Ride the Rockies finale in Golden, CO and it was awesome! 2000 riders rode over 470 miles, climbing over 33,000 feet to end up flying down Lookout Mountain into the City of Golden. On January 16th, 2014, Boogie Machine left the afros at home and donned a variety of costumes to perform as Ronnie Raygun and the Big 80s for Ping Identity’s 2014 Kickoff Party at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, CO. We recently shot a new promo video. Many thanks to Al and Bistro Al Vino for allowing us to shoot there. As usual it was OUR crowd there. We get a great mix of age ranges and people always have a fun time. Ramblin’ Jackson came out and did a 3 camera setup, complete with a GoPro for the bass headstock and great shots of our drummer. On August 22nd, we played an awesome event on the corner of 15th and Lawrence in Downtown Denver for CU Denver’s 40th Anniversary. After a performance by an amazing a cappella group, we kicked off the show with some EW&F and laid down the funk for an awesome afternoon. The layout of this party was wonderful. A Huge Hit!

The Grooviest Benefit Concert EVER!

Boogie Machine played at our annual benefit concert this past July and it was by far the best concert yet! They were so much fun and so energetic! They got the crowd up and groovin’ ! Boogied Our Badonka Donks Into The Christmas Season!

Boogie Machine helped our company Christmas party bring in the season with lots of dancing and fun! I was totally impressed at how they were able to play not only songs from the 70’s, but also some pretty amazing 80’s music. They were able to create an environment that made even the most timid person go out and shake a tail feather without feeling weird about it! We even had a bit of a dance off at some point that night! Great concert at Smoky Hill Library

The Boogie Machine put on a great concert in the library parking lot and our more than 300 guests had a wonderful time. The costumes, energy and music were over the top! It seems that everyone who attended was singing and dancing along within minutes of the band starting to play. Our staff dressed up, participated and had a great time as well. As the event manager for the Denver Christkindl Market, I was looking to incorporate some new acts that would work well with our fest but not detract from our family friendly Christmas vibe. First Time and Not The Last!

Starpoint booked their final 40th Anniversary event, a 1977 disco dance at the Rialto theater and the consumers, family members, staff and community were on the floor for three solid hours dancing, laughing and having a great time. Starpoint serves the developmentally disabled adults and children population in Fremont, Chaffee and Custer counties and the consumers love to dance and be included in as many of the community activities and events as possible. The energetic and talented band members recognized this opportunity and made the dance special just for them. Not only will Starpoint consider another booking but the Rialto Theater will book this dance band in the near future as a fundraiser as we continue to the renovation of the 1923 opera house in Florence, Colorado. They came highly recommended and left setting the bar higher than we could have ever expected!

A night we will never forget!

On April 23rd, I threw a Celebration of Life party for my sister who recently lost her battle to breast cancer. Her final wish was to have a formal gathering/party with her favorite band playing. Boogie Machine had always been one of her favorites, she had always followed them around to local venues here in Denver. When we contacted them to do private party, they were very receptive. Jerry was professional and easy to work with. I must admit throwing a party like this was nerve wrecking making sure it was perfect. The band showed up early made sure everything was set up just right and helped with my own AV set up. They played for 4 hours and put on one hell of a show, so fun and worth every dollar! Very reasonable in cost, they took half at time of booking and half the night of the party. All of our guests had the most memorable night and they jammed. Thank you Boogie Machine, so much, for making it such a special night! Would recommend and hire again in future!
