Boogie Machine Celebrates 20 Years!

Can you believe it’s been 20 years!? Before making the move to Denver in 1998 Boogie Machine was a 3-piece Top 40 Dance/Rock band called Lickety Split. We traveled full time playing 5 to 6 nights a week across the country and over seas in South Korea. When the market for traveling bands started its decline we realized it was time for a change and decided to rebrand ourselves after seeing another Disco band perform in Arizona. We began the transition by learning the new repertoire early in 1998 and made our plans to “get off the road”. After the Read More …

Is it Fall already?

Holy cow! Where did this year go? I guess it slipped away while we were all waiting for the rain to stop! Despite actually getting rained out a couple times, we had a pretty good “summer”. We traveled to Big Sky and Billings, Montana for two separate shows in June and July, played shows in Fruita, Palisade, Cheyenne and Garden City , Kansas as well as made the rounds here in the Denver area. We still have some great shows coming up this year too so be sure to keep an eye on our calendar!

Boogie Machine performs for the Winter Park 75th Anniversary Gala!

What an honor and an adventure we had this past Saturday night performing at the Winter Park 75th Anniversary Gala. We started out by having all our gear loaded onto a snowcat and hauled up to Sunspot Lodge where the view from 10,700 feet is nothing less than spectacular. The guests began arriving by way of the chairlift at 6 0’clock where they enjoyed cocktails before their dinner and pre-dance activities. In true party fashion the guests flooded the dance floor to get their groove on as soon as we started playing and didn’t stop until it was time to get Read More …

On November 15th, Boogie Machine took over the Titled Kilt in Denver Tech Center. This is the first of the Kilt’s Live Music Fridays. Oh, and of course there’s the lovely “Kilt Girls” to keep you taken care of. The service of this place was some of the best we’ve had and we loved performing there. Corporate Fun with Boogie Machine!

Whether it’s for a company of 100 or 1000, Boogie Machine’s goal is to get everyone dancing! This weekend in Montrose was no exception. As soon as we started playing people stopped milling around the bar and headed for the dance floor to get their groove on. It was especially exciting because everyone was dressed in their finest polyester, bellbottoms and platform shoes! Dressing up always seems to bring a huge fun-factor to any event and it’s these occasions that we like to tell the crowd, “We’re the band, you’re the audience. Springing Forward!

Wow! I can’t believe it’s March already! Time flies when you’re crazy busy! We spent the biggest part of November and December putting together a few new songs and making new costumes. We also made some sorely needed equipment upgrades that help make the show run more smoothly. And while there’s still plenty more to be done in all those departments, like everything, it takes time and money. December was a blast. We played some awesome gigs, both as Boogie Machine and as Ronnie Raygun. We flew to Seattle Christmas night to play a birthday party on the 26th, flew Read More …

Rejuvenation!

The change of seasons has brought about an impulse for us to follow suit. We’ve taken on the task of rejuvenating our show. That means upgrades to websites, equipment, learning new songs and updating our wardrobe. It sounds easy enough but in reality it means hundreds of dollars and hundreds of man hours to make it happen. Some of the changes will be unnoticed by the average onlooker but to our diehard fans who’ve seen us time and time again we hope the changes will be gratifying. These upgrades will be taking place bit by bit over the next few Read More …

Welcome!

We’ve come to the conclusion that Facebook is not a great means of reaching our fans. A lot of people don’t even use it and out of those who do a lot aren’t very active. Having less than 150 people out of over 1000 see a post is not very effective in our book. So this is your opportunity to be part of something that is dedicated to reaching you specifically. We hope you enjoy it and as always feel free to Like, Share and Comment as before.
